MOBILITY LIMITATIONS

Due to the evolution of the pandemic situation, national and international, mobility, may be subject to the limitations imposed by local governments. It is therefore advisable to check the latest regulations before planning your trip. The violation of the regulations for Covid-19 may result in refusal to board a flight or you can be denied entry into your country of destination by the local authorities.

"REINFORCED” GREEN PASS OBLIGATION ON DOMESTIC FLIGHTS

As required by the D.L. 221 of 24 December 2021 and 229 of 30 December 2021, from 10 January 2022 and until the end of the Covid-19 epidemiological emergency (at present 31 March 2022) on the Italian territory access to all transports, including commercial passenger airplanes, will be allowed only to persons with a so-called “Reinforced” Green Pass (Covid-19 Green Certification) also known as Super Green Pass.

The Reinforced Green Pass can be obtained exclusively under one of the following conditions:

  • Primary vaccination completed or booster dose received;
  • Recovery from Covid-19 with contextual completion of the isolation period as per the provisions of the Ministry of Health;
  • Recovery from Covid-19 after having received the first dose or at the end of the primary vaccination cycle or after having received the booster dose.

The following passengers are exempt:

  1. Under 12 year of age;
  2. Exempt from vaccination with a suitable medical certificate as provided for by the Ministry of Health;

Passengers in transit in an Italian airport arriving from or continuing to an international destination, can show a Basic Green Pass (obtained with a molecular or rapid antigenic test carried out in accordance with the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health of 14 December 2021) provided that they do not leave the transit area.

The Reinforced Green Pass is accepted both in digital and paper format in Italian, English, French and Spanish language.

Passengers without the above-mentioned documentation will be denied boarding.

FOR THOSE FLYING FROM ITALY TO OTHER COUNTRIES

The reference website for passengers who fly from Italy to other countries is IATA - International Travel Document News (iatatravelcentre.com) where individual states' regulations regarding the containment of Covid-19 are published.

Each foreign country has specific documents to be produced (Green Pass, compilation of the dPLF, etc.), in case of incomplete documentation you will be denied boarding.

Regarding international flights, the Company has the obligation to verify the dates of the vaccine administration, which is not verifiable by QR Code but by the certificate.  We therefore recommend printing it in case of absence of internet connection.  

FLYING TO UNITED KINGDOM

Following the latest regulations of the British Authorities, all passengers over 11 years of age even if they qualify as fully vaccinated, including UK nationals and residents, must comply with all the following measures in order to be allowed to enter the United Kingdom:

  1. Provide proof of a negative PCR od LFD COVID-19 test taken within 2 days of departure to the UK; click here for a list of valid tests;
  2. Take a PCR Test (booked before departure) on or before day 2 of arrival in the UK and self-isolate until the result of the day 2 test is known;
  3. Complete a PLF at least 48 hours before entering the UK.

Passengers arriving from a country included in the red list can enter the UK only if they are UK nationals or residents and must still comply with all the above listed measures.

 

FOR THOSE COMING TO ITALY FROM OTHER COUNTRIES

If you are flying to Italy from other countries, we recommend that you check the sites 

 

Following the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health of 14/12/2021 from 16 December 2021 to 31 January 2022 all passengers arriving in Italy must comply with the following regulations:

Passengers from countries in List C

When boarding must show the following documentation:

1.       Green Pass / EU Digital Covid-19 Certificate or other equivalent certification of completed vaccination cycle and/or recovery from Covid-19. If unable to provide the above certificate, it is necessary to provide at least the certification at item 2) before departure and stay in self-isolation for 5 days at arrival on the Italian territory, at the end of which an antigen or molecular swab test with negative outcome is required.

2.      Negative Covid-19 swab test, PCR test/ molecular test certificate, taken within 48 hours before arrival or antigenic test taken within 24 hours before arrival. Children under 6 years of age are exempt from the pre-departure swab test. Failure to provide this certification will result in a denied boarding;

3.      dPLF (Digital Passenger Locator Form) duly completed for each passenger. Failure to provide this document will result in a denied boarding.

 

Passengers from countries in List D

When boarding must show all the following certifications:

1.      Green Pass / EU Digital Covid-19 Certificate or other equivalent certification of completed vaccination cycle and/or recovery from Covid-19. If unable to provide the above certificate, it is necessary to provide at least the certification at item 2) before departure and stay in self-isolation for 5 days at arrival on the Italian territory, at the end of which an antigen or molecular swab test with negative outcome is required.

2.      Negative Covid-19 swab test, PCR test/ molecular test certificate, taken within 72 hours (48 hours from the UK) before arrival or antigenic test taken within 24 hours before arrival. Children under 6 years of age are exempt from the pre-departure swab test. Failure to provide this certification will result in a denied boarding;

3.      dPLF (Digital Passenger Locator Form) duly completed for each passenger. Failure to provide this document will result in a denied boarding.

 

Passengers from countries in List E

In case of stay/transit in one of the countries in this list, entry in Italy is only allowed to Italian /Schengen countries citizens. Other passengers are allowed to enter Italy only for specific reasons.

When boarding passengers must show all the following certifications:

1.      Negative Covid-19 swab test, PCR test/ molecular test certificate, taken within 72 hours before arrival or antigenic test taken within 24 hours before arrival. Children under 6 years of age are exempt from the pre-departure swab test.

2.      Self-isolation period of 10 days at arrival on the Italian territory, at the end of which an antigen or molecular swab test with negative outcome is required;

3.      dPLF (Digital Passenger Locator Form) duly completed for each passenger. Failure to provide this document will result in a denied boarding;

 

Failure to submit even just one of the above-listed certifications will result in a denied boarding.

                                 

To fill out the Passenger Locator Form in digital format, please follow these steps:

1. Connect to the site  https://app.euplf.eu/#/

2. Follow the guided procedure to access dPLF 

3. Choose "Italy" as the destination country

4. Register for the site by creating a personal account with user and password

5. Fill in and send the dPLF following the guided procedure

 

Once you have submitted the form, you will receive at the email address indicated at the registration stage, the dPLF in pdf format and a QRcode that you will have to show at the time of boarding and/or anyone who is responsible for carrying out the checks. Alternatively, you can print a copy of the dPLF to show.

 

The dPLF must be completed and sent before boarding. However, the field for the assigned seat number will still be modifiable.

 

Because it is a legal obligation, failure to complete the DPLF will mean that boarding on the flight will not be permitted.

 

In exceptional cases, i.e. solely in the face of technological impediments, it will be possible to fill in and present a  paper form instead of the dPLF.
